I made the most adorable scrapbook! This was my first scrapbook and now I am officially addicted. It’s funny because the Cricut is really predominantly for scrapbook-ers and I really had never used it for that until now…
Because this was my first scrapbook, I really had difficulty deciding how to lay out the pages and what to leave space for. The book was made for an employee that was retiring and I tried to make the book for the purpose of saving the memories from her retirement party.
I started on Pinterest to get inspiration for layouts and ideas. I found several free svgs that I have in my Pinterest Board for you to go use {the-tea-party-scrapbook-board}, complete with some of the inspiration I used.
Supplies
- Little Golden Book of your Choice
- Multicolored string
- Velum Paper
- Scrap book Paper
- Scotch Glue
- Gold baskings
- Tulle (for the binding)
- Hole puncher
I did learn that the best glue for scrapbooks is not liquid. I would have been a lot more proud of my hours upon hours of work if I had used different glue that had dried thin rather than thick.
I really had to just stop, even before I loved it, because you get sucked into the Pinterest black hole and you’ll never escape!
I really hope this inspired you. I enjoyed making this so much that I am going to make an Alice in Wonderland one next! This next one I will probably give it away too, but you never know…I might not.
Warmly,
Lauren
